The AFK Arena role-playing game offers a huge variety of characters. However, the player will have to choose who exactly to upgrade, since resources, despite the possibility of farming, are seriously limited and it will not be possible to upgrade everyone. Gather your own team, which is strong enough to complete any level, event or puzzle. With a high-quality selection of characters and their competent leveling, not a single boss can cause too many problems.

AFK Arena character classes

Following the classic scheme of how role-playing games work, the characters in AFK Arena are divided into classes. There are 5 in total:

1. Tanks.
2. Warriors.
3. Magi.
4. Support heroes.
5. Rangers.

The capabilities and types of attacks, the use of the character in battle and his location on the map are built depending on his role. However, the game mechanics are much more complex. The ultimate strength of the characters depends on the stage of the plot, the synergy between the heroes that can strengthen them, or the influence of opponents - some of which can seriously weaken even the most powerful character.

A lot depends on the class. Heroes with levels A and B are the target ones; it is better to use them in your own group and level them up first. But you shouldn’t rush to get rid of classes C and D, since often a player may simply not have top-level characters in the corresponding faction, but their complete absence can make some levels impassable. And here you have to choose the strongest heroes of lower levels.

Tanks

Heroes of this class specialize in damage absorption and inflict enemy damage on themselves. Accordingly, they are demanding in terms of endurance and often have various skills to control a crowd of enemies. A similar character is used in almost every battle.

Warriors

A hybrid class that has less stamina than tanks, but is capable of dealing significant damage in a short amount of time. They are often the main fighting force of the team.

Alna, Anasta, Awakened Atalia will be the best choice for dealing damage to enemies.	A
Characters will deal good damage to enemies: Nara, Queen, Wu-Kun, Baden.	B
Ukyo, Varek, Isolde, Zolrath, they are also capable of doing good damage and have a good ultimate for quickly destroying the enemy.	C
The weakest will be Saurus, Estrilda, Antandra, Rigby and Khasos, but can also be used if there are no alternatives.	D

Maggie

This class specializes in magic damage and hitting a large number of targets. They are able to inflict huge damage in an instant, stop a crowd of enemies, disorienting them, or, conversely, give buffs to allied heroes. The use of magicians corresponds to their abilities.

Support

These heroes deal virtually no damage. However, some levels of the game will be impassable for normal characters, without the supporting buffs of these characters and saving throws. Their enhancements are what save the team when it becomes impossible to pull it out with an ult, pumping and weapons.

Heroes	Status
The best choice, providing the most powerful buff to the team, will be Ilya and Layla, Merlin, Rowan, Awakened Safia, Palmer.	A
