How to play the IS-3

Close combat and alpha exchanges. It is these words that perfectly describe the demonstration battle of the Soviet grandfather.

Due to the incredibly slanting and uncomfortable gun of the ISu-3, there is nothing left but to shorten the distance with the enemy as much as possible and go into close combat, trying to use good timings and give out its impressive alpha. Armor. Alas, Soviet magic is an extremely unstable thing. In one battle you are invincible, and in another you are pierced by all and sundry. The heavy duty tank should be stable, but the “classic” armor based on the thickness of the armor plates is not able to save the grandfather from taking damage.

Vertical angles. They have already been written about. But I want to put them in a separate paragraph, because they are as shameful as possible. One could forgive his low DPM and poor shooting comfort. In the end, damage per shot needs to be balanced. But -5 degrees is a punishment. Suffering. This is something that after the sale of the IS-3 will return to you in nightmares for a long time.

Conclusions

The benefits are dubious. The cons are significant. The tank is outdated. Yes, again, the whole horror of the car lies in the fact that he lost the arms race. The same Royal Tiger, the same old man, has repeatedly apals and now keeps the entire level at bay. But the IS-3, as introduced at the start of the game, remained so.
